About
Created for Abertay's DES310 Professional Project module, Underratted was a group project in which I was a Game Designer, UI designer, Programmer and VFX Artist. This is a rougelike styled game in a 2.5D perspective in which the player and enemies are billboarded sprites inside a 3D environment.
Throughout the game the player can earn ripped cards throughout the levels from enemy drops and other interactions. Once the player reaches the end of the stage, if they collected any of these items they are then brought to a special bonus area in which they are given a random selection of new half cards that they combine with the ones they earnt to make completely new power ups and upgrades. These cards and then able to be saved to use on future playthroughs!
Developing a game in this perspective was a challenge that forced my team and myself to learn new methods of programming, art and design that I would later use in my future projects.
